More than the Greek goddess of love, Aphrodite was once a central goddess to dozens
of pre-Christian faiths around the world.

Although many of her temples were converted into sanctuaries for the virgin Mary,
she remains the goddess of the oldest continuously-occupied temple in the world.
Our current calendar still keeps the name of the month dedicated to her: April.
